For the Symbio SwitchCycle, the biomechanics team used anthropometrics and ergonomics software to model users ranging from 4’9” to 6’5” on the upright bike and determine what range of positions for the pedals, seat, handlebars, and console will provide a comfortable cycling experience for all users. These specifications were used in the product development process to ensure that exercisers of all shapes and sizes can reach the pedals, console, and other touchpoints to enjoy a comfortable ride.
