I am very happy with the mechanical performance of the rower and levels of resistance available.

After using the rower regularly I was more working out outdoors for a couple of month. When I started to use the rower after this periode the battery was low. Rowing to consecutive days each a half an hour the problem was fixt. A year later I did not use the rower again for a couple of month. In contrast to the first time, I was not able to recharge the battery by daily use each a half hour for a week. A replacement battery solved the problem temporarily but after 10 days of not using the rower it was depleted again and I was unable to recharge it! A tech‘s visit did not fix the problem either! Good mechanic bad electronics!

Overall, the Heat Row is an awesome product. The rowing experience is excellent and what I would consider best on the market given the quite operation, magnetic resistance along with air resistance, and general 'feel'. The issue(s) that I have are in relation to some problems experienced and prevented me from giving a '5 star' review. The foot pedals initially cracked but this was remedied by getting new foot pedals that didn't flex (though these should have been included off the bat). The other issues are with the LCD unit. Initially, the timeout function wasn't working (i.e.; the display is supposed to auto turn off but it didn't). A tech fixed this but it only allows for one option which is to turn off after 30 seconds. The 1 minute and 2 minute options don't work. As well, the bluetooth connectivity doesn't work. I have a Polar H10 heart monitor (which was tested on other equipment and with my local fitness dealer) and it simply won't hold a connection. Overall, I am disappointed with the LCD module for this unit. It is very pricy and should be better tested so that it works for end users. I am willing to pay more for good quality and again, the actual row of this machine is excellent, just disappointed in the LCD module.

I work in a commercial setting. We have one that has not worked in 2 years due to various issues (monitor glitches, bolts stripped from foot attachment, and broken foot stretchers. The second rower we have has had issues with the foot stretchers. The warranty included on the machine for technical issues isn't enough given the constant issues. Other brands are better quality and lower cost.
