Comments about Lifecycle® GX Indoor Cycling Bike:
This is a great cycling bike. I like that it picks up my heart rate monitor and provides real time feedback. The computer system has an option of for one of the two displays. First option: resistance level (1-20), revolution per minute (RPM), calories an hour (enter in age and weight, but not gender), heart rate (ONLY with HRM - which is a negative), distance (miles or KM), speed (mph or kph). There are no on board heart rate monitors so you will need to wear one that transmits, and the calories an hour are only based on weight, age, resistance and RPM without consideration for gender or heart rate. The dual sided pedals are nice with SPD clips or a shoe basket for normal gym shoes. The red handle front and center allows for quick and easy level adjustments and not the noisy beeping common to other cycling bikes. It is also very intuitive so you can jump on and pedal without needing to adjust anything or even click start. The seat and handle bars are quickly adjustable up and down and forward and back which is great for multiple users. Adjustment is a hand tightened knob with a click in place level. Great for gyms. It does require calibration as the magnets get off. The spin class I attend has 30 of these bikes and some bikes are easier than others when set on the same level, it doesn't matter too much unless you are competing for miles or calories burned or something along those lines. Most people end up using the same bike each class so they know what to expect.
